Have we not learned anything from the ongoing cost effects of unions, related to the "economic" melt down?
The president signed a bill recently that states that preference should be given to union contractors on large federal construction jobs. Have you ever seen a union construction project that was cost efficient?
Since unions have been slowly shrinking, what about the nonunion contractors? Too bad, stay home and join the ranks of the unemployed.
Obama has signed or is about to sign a bill that reverses the private ballot to a public ballot for employees voting on a union.
What this means is that for many years, the vote of the employee was secret; now the employee's vote will be public.
Many unions will use that knowledge as a means to intimidate the employees to vote for the union. This is not a good situation.
Otherwise, why would the unions care whether the vote was secret or not?
As a side note: Did you ever try to fire a union member "for any" infraction? That is one of the benefits and costs of socialism, my friends. The lazy union worker gets paid just as much money as the many union workers who work with pride in their jobs.
The primary reason Democrats are pro-union is that most, if not all unions, financially support the Democratic Party whether each union member likes it or not.
So the more unions, the more Democratic votes and increased financing!
Can you feel the "Lava of Socialism" creeping across our land, destroying everything in its path? Will we as Americans allow it to continue until there is no turning back? Welcome to France, my friends.
