Will You Get Any Stimulus?

Published: February 12, 2009

Our country is in the throes of a very unstable economy of which there is no solution except to delay the inevitable collapse of things we have become accustomed to — primarily having everything we want right now.

What Mr. Obama has cooking is nothing more than a renamed ponzi scheme, paying off a few with money taken in from millions of us. It's just renamed a "stimulus" kick start. The government has arrested, without bail, the perpetuator with the appropriate name of "Bernie" Madoff for devising the scheme that robbed thousands of their lifetime savings. Our government does not have the kind of money in its pockets with which to give to those who want it, so they plan to again put on all future generations the problem of paying back the multiple trillions of our overdrawn accounts.

I doubt that those of us living today will ever see the end of this boondoggle.

Do not worry about having to go to war with China, they would not have anyone to sell their shoes to nor would they get any of their money back.

Who's Fault?

The Democrats are blaming the problem on last eight years of the Republican administration and they are partially right, because it has been going on for the past 50 years or more of spending more that is taken in with our taxes, and in past 50 years both administrations have contributed equal share of the blame with six president each. However, Democratic presidents beat the IQs of the Republican presidents by some 40 points average.

In all likelihood this almost trillion dollar kick start of our economy will get approved because of the Democratic majority. Our nation cannot continue to live this way. We should be the country that others are borrowing from.

It is akin to what our television shows have sunk to in lowness. Tune to any of the music stations, the reality shows and many of the comedy skits and you will soon hear words more than nasty and vulgar. See the guys grabbing their crotch as if offering it to the girls screaming for it. Look at what the women are wearing and you see more skin than you do clothing.

Cuss words including God's name in vain are used daily. The four-letter word for human waste is used in every tight situation, not only on television but in every situation regardless of where you are.

We all have let things go so awry that there is virtually no way to turn back the clock and say "Enough, stop this madness!"

No Bailout Here

In an article about the Circuit City bankruptcy, it pointed out a number of things including the ripple effect:

Circuit City is (was) the second largest electronics retailer. They had been in business 60 years.

They not only announced bankruptcy, but went almost immediately in liquidation. They will lay off 40,000 employees and will close over 600 stores, vacating 18 million square feet of stores.

They leave $2.3 billion in unpaid debt. Newspapers, already hurting for advertisements, will no longer have their slick Sunday insert across the country. Strip shopping centers across America now have lost one of their primary anchors, and this will lead to others vacating their centers. They were considered one of the strongest retailers.

How many more will follow?
