Keller Williams Realtors Plan Special Open House

SEBRING Keller Williams Realtors in Sebring will be doing their part for charity during a special open house event today that is called "Paint The Town Red."
Eight properties are being listed in Sebring for the open house, which will run from noon to 3 p.m. The addresses are: 510 Aston Martin Drive, 315 Eagle Ave., 4047 Leaf Road, 2510 Par Road, 3337 Sparta Road, 4204 Thompson Ave., 1520 Vicki Drive and 305 Wren Ave.
The homes range from $80,000 to $166,900.
Jarrod Davis, team leader and managing partner with Keller Williams Realty of Highlands County, said 10 percent of the agent's commission on any of those eight homes will be donated to KW Cares. The amount would vary and depends if the agent listed as well as sold the property.
"Paint the Town Red is my way of helping the agents get into activities and help the agents help their clients both buyers and sellers," Davis said.
Designated a 501(c)(3) public charityin 2003, KW Cares raises money through Keller Williams Market Cen ters and regional offices in order to provide emergency financial assistance to members of the company family in need through its grants program, and to support other charities and causes aligned with the mission and values of Keller Williams Realty and KW Cares.
The Realtors can donate to local charities, Davis said.
Looking ahead for this year, Davis said he expects there will be an increase in buyers the last six months of 2009.
He cites a couple of factors including the continued decline in home prices and the increase in foreclosures. Davis noted that the affordability index, which is a measure of the financial ability of the U.S. families to buy a house, has gone up.
"Buyers who are smart buy now, and they do not wait," he said.
