The following people were booked Wednesday, Feb. 4 into the Highlands County Jail:

Ralph Keith Chavis, 18, of 242 Park Crest Terrace, on charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, obstructing police, possession of marijuana, damaging property/criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia, battery of an officer and resisting an officer without violence.

Rachel Likens Cook, 37, of 3802 Craig Ave., Sebring was sentenced to 10 days in jail for knowingly driving while license is suspended or revoked, first offense.

Randall Scott Dixon, 25, of Auburndale, on a warrant charging violation of probation in reference to introducing contraband into a county detention facility.

David Wayne Garden, 43, of 138 Authority Lane, Sebring, on warrants charging failure to appear on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI), first offense, and not having a valid driver's license.

Martin James Ibanez, 22, of 111 Polk St., Lake Placid, on warrants charging first-degree arson of a dwelling and trespassing.

Jodi Patton Neal, 33, of 1837 Key Lake Drive, Sebring, on charges of passing a forged or altered instrument and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.

Paula Nieblas, 52, of 3604 Aston Martin Drive, Sebring, was sentenced to 30 days in jail for DUI, second offense.

Efrain Cruz Ramos, 36, of Wauchula, was sentenced to 10 days in jail for driving with an expired license.

Ashley Lynn Staples, 19, of 3243 Northern Blvd., Lake Placid, on charges of battery and resisting an officer with violence.

Letta Katherine Updike, 21, of Lake Wales, on warrants charging failure to appear on charges of resisting an officer with violence, trespassing and battery on a law enforcement officer.
