AVON PARK - Anreka Bristol scored 14 points and Morissa Davis had 10 more on Friday night and the Booker girls basketball team's defensive pressure rattled host Avon Park in a 55-49 victory in the semifinals of the Class 4A-District 10 tournament.
The Tornadoes jumped out to a 16-4 lead early and never looked back, holding the Devils at bay the rest of the game.
Johnequa Perry scored 15 points, Daija Barrett had 12 points and Brearnna Tate added 10 points to lead the Devils, but Booker opened up the fourth quarter with a 10-2 run to take control of the game and eliminate Avon Park.
