The following people were booked Wednesday, Aug. 12 into the Highlands County Jail:
Justin Kyle Baird, 18, of Sebring, on orders to take into custody on charges of absconding from Department of Juvenile Justice supervision in reference to lewd or lascivious conduct by a person under 18 years of age and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Anita Iris Barrett, 50, on charges of destroying evidence, resisting an officer without violence and possession of marijuana.
Marcus Anthony Malcomb, 36, of 1000 Hal McRae Blvd., Avon Park, on charges of possession and destroying evidence.
Chauncey Anthony Sewell, 27, of Eustis, on warrants charging failure to appear for a disposition hearing on charges of obtaining property with a check.
