I have had season tickets for Highlands Little Theatre for several years. Unfortunately, I will be out of town for the performance of "Smokey Joe's Café." I have been looking forward to seeing this show so I decided to ask for permission to see a rehearsal; I thought that I would at least get a glimpse of the show and be able to hear a few of the songs.
My husband and I attended a rehearsal on Tuesday, which consisted of the songs in Act 1; we were also invited to sit in on Thursday night to hear the songs in Act 2. If you do not have tickets for this show, you need to contact the box office ASAP.
Naturally, the performance that we saw was not the same as seeing the costumes, stage settings and full band, but I guarantee you that it is a show not to be missed. Chances are many of you will be able to sing all the words to the 50s songs and they will bring back fond memories, but it will be enjoyed by all ages. Keep up the exceptionally good work HLT!
