Construction under way at Lake June West

LAKE PLACID - The Lake June West townhome community, located at 1057 Lake June Road, is under construction and nearly all of the units in the first building have been sold, according to Mike Chapman, president of Chapman's Construction Co.

There are four buildings of 10 units each right on the lake and one building of 9 units overlooking the golf course for a total of five buildings. Chapman had received eight contracts as of last month.

The community will feature a Key West design and is situated on more than 800 feet of sandy shoreline on pristine Lake June.

Upon completion, the community will include 49 townhomes, offering two floor plans.

There will be eight Key Largo floor plans which have 3 bedrooms and 2 baths consisting of 1,570 square feet of air conditioned area with 2,162 square feet total area.

There will be 41 Islamorada floor plans which have 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths consisting of 1,952 square feet of air conditioned area with a total area of 2,663 square feet.
