I just have to say that we need to give a big thanks to the city of Avon Park and all of its employees. The last few days we have had lots of strong winds that have caused lots of debris from trees to fall all over our yards and streets. Today I was in my yard with a wheelbarrow, picking up the mess from my 14 large oak trees and I could see several city trucks driving around to pick up trash in the streets from the previous high winds.
Two employees drove by in their truck and took my wheelbarrow of tree debris and dumped in the truck for me. These two employees should be given commendations for taking the extra step in serving this city. I give thanks to the mayor, our great city employees, especially those in our sanitation department. I am proud of you and happy to live in this wonderful city.
