I keep reading about the problems that are facing the automobile industry in this country! Management and unions cannot get together and agree on anything. Whenever our political eggheads get involved it seems that things get worse and worse. So, what do I have to lose by giving my 2 cents worth?

My plan is very simple and I'm sure that it would work if we only give it a chance.

1. Cut the price of all new cars by 50 percent; results would be that everyone can now afford a new vehicle. Now, everyone has a new vehicle so let's go to the next step; all of these new vehicles need gas and maintenance, etc. This means good days are ahead for mechanics, tire sales, car washes and last but not least, car salesmen.

If the present economic plan doesn't change we are all headed down the road to destruction. My plan is downright silly, but it is no worse than some of the plans that our esteemed political leaders have come up with.

Note, they get paid for their schemes. I labored hard for 25 long years for my little pension and I don't want to lose it because some irresponsible jerk appointed to a high position to repay a political favor.
