Bull riding begins at 7 p.m. Saturday at the annual Bullistic bull riding event at Firemen's Field.

SEBRING - Bulls will be bucking and cowboys will be holding on for dear life Saturday evening at the annual Bullistic bull riding event at Firemen's Field.
Thirty of the best bull riders in the Southeast United States will try to ride 30 of the meanest bulls in the region to take home the top prize. The Sebring Firemen are sponsoring the event.
Before the riding and during intermissions, the Highlands County Blue Grass Band will perform. A "Mutton Bustin" contest for kids will be held as well, and anyone needing information on participating should contact the fair office at 382-2255.
A Hula Hoop contest will be available to anyone in the crowd willing to sign a waiver and stand inside a Hula Hoop while a bull is turned loose. The last person standing in the hoop wins $100.
Rodeo clowns and bullfighters will be on hand to assist cowboys, and the bull riding begins at 7 p.m.
Gates open a 6 p.m. and the parking lot opens at 5:30 p.m.
Advance tickets are $10 and can be purchased at all Highlands Independent Bank locations, any Charlie Taylor BP stations, Glisson's Animal Supply, Lake Placid Feed and Western Wear and the Highlands County Farm Bureau Office.
Tickets are $12 at the gate. Children accompanied by an adult, 6 and under, can enter free.
Proceeds will benefit Sebring High School athletics.
