Sweet Adeline Chorus To Compete In Regional Contest

AVON PARK - The Heart of Highland Sweet Adeline Chorus will compete in the Region 9 Sweet Adeline Competition on Saturday, April 4 at the Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach.
Approximately 20 Sweet Adeline choruses from Florida will be competing.
The first-place chorus will then advance to the Sweet Adeline International competition in Nashville, Tenn. in October.
A quartet, whose members are in the chorus, will be competing for the first time in the quartet division. Called "Girls Night Out," the quartet includes Ida DiStefano, Jeanne Parzygnat, Cathy Lewis and Barbara Pratt.
The chorus, which is under the direction of new director Ron Bower, currently has 42 members.
Rehearsals are held every Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Avon Park Rotary, 20 S. Verona Ave.
