Smoke From Controlled Burns

SEBRING Intermittent plumes of smoke visible in northern Highlands County on Thursday and Friday were from controlled burns, the Division of Forestry reports.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is conducting controlled burns on state property in scrub area along Riverdale Road in the Arbuckle Creek area.
They burned Thursday and Friday, according to a forestry ranger who did not know if more controlled burns are scheduled.
