To Ms. Kraft who wonders what Mr. Maxcy has been doing the last 2-16 years? He's been doing his part in helping to cut the millage and the unemployment rates, both of which were higher when he took office. He has been doing everything he could to help to make this a better county to live in along with the other four commissioners. You do realize that there are five of them that vote on things? May I ask what you have been doing these last two years? Have you been attending the meeting or committee meetings to help understand the goings on in our local government?

Allow me to state that I happen to have attended, taped and watched hundreds of meetings these last 25 years not just two or 16 and have watched all of our elected officials try to please all of you in the public. Although an impossible task they still attempt it.

They do the best they can, Ms. Kraft, but many asking for change seem to forget that they have never held the office and have no idea of what is required, including some running who think they do. If you want to learn what is going on, then attend the meeting and ask questions.

You won't really be able to do it on your lunch hour or just dropping in for a few moments because you'll miss information that is required to understand why a vote went a certain way. However, the meeting is open to the public and you are given a chance to speak on every issue. Come on down and see those people you dislike so much; come tell us how to do it right.
