WAUCHULA - Hardee quarterback Ezayi Youyoute rushed for 192 yards and two touchdowns on Friday night to lead the Hardee football team to a 24-7 victory over Avon Park in Class 3A District 12 play at Wildcat Stadium.
Avon Park's Albert Moses, who missed the Red Devils' first two games of the season due to injury, led Avon Park on a six-play, 64-yard drive culminating in a 10-yard touchdown pass to Derrick McKenzie to open the game, but the Wildcats' stingy defense and clock-controlling offense limited the Devils to just nine offensive plays in the second half.
Moses went 10 for 15 passing for 127 yards and a TD. Avon Park's lone victory last season came in a 10-7 stunner over Hardee.
