I would like to take this opportunity to thank our city of Sebring and Highlands County law enforcement. For those who do no know, Caddy Shack Bar and Grill was broken into and thanks to the Highlands Today delivery driver who was delivering the paper, noticed the broken window and called the police, who quickly responded to the scene.
At the same time Highlands County Sheriff officers were at Race Way with what turned out to be the suspects. After a lengthy chase they were apprehended in a stolen church van. After little damage to the store the stolen items and money was returned.
Thank God we have people like Sheriff Benton and Chief Dettman in charge of our law enforcement and a team of people who know what they are doing.
