Let Us Never Forget

Seven years ago, on Sept. 11, New York was attacked by terrorists. I viewed that tragic day on television and I thought it was good to refresh our memories and give thanks that we have survived seven years with no attack. However we must not let our guard down.

A lot of us don't like the security we must face today but it is such a small price to pay for the security of our country. We must all wake up and realize our country could be attacked again. Our military is doing a tough job trying to keep our country safe. We all owe them much gratitude and support.

There was so much love and support that was shown on that tragic day for one another. This love and concern for our fellow men should still be shown in our 21st century, as true Americans. We must pull together regardless of our politics, whether you are Democrat or Republican, you are first an American, and we must pull together. Let us remember together we stand and divided we fall.

We all love this great country. We are in desperate need of good leadership for our country. We must forget the smear tactics and get on with the job of electing us a qualified leader.

Our country was founded by religious, dedicated men and women who had rules and principles. Our 21st century needs the same kind of leadership today. We are in desperate need for this kind of leadership, so when you vote you must make the right choice. This is a very important election and many changes must be made.

I am quite elderly. I may get to see the changes that must be made, but I hope and pray that our next generation can reap the harvest our 21st century leaders can bring. God bless America, the land of the brave and free. This is my sincere wish for all our true Americans.
