I read the article "Avon Park Police Department Officer Tussles With Suspect."
Not being hooked on semantics, however when a "peace officer" places himself in the position of taking a suspect into custody, I assure you, it then becomes more than a "tussle." The officer is armed and the act could escalate into anything imaginable, especially the worst.
A "peace officer" taking someone into custody and the mere fact that person decides to resist, leads a reasonable person to expect the worst. This is not a simple act described as a "tussle" and we mere mortals take a lot for granted in hopes that no one is harmed, especially the peace officer.
