It's fun to read all the different people writing about the change in the political playing field. Oh my gosh! A woman as vice president who is a mother, activist, as well as a common sense person?
They will attempt to make her look foolish, stupid and put anything out there that could discredit her in any way shape or form. After all, this is the dirty politics that are being played today with both sides. I, or most of us, wish to be informed voters and have to sort through all the hype, lies and just poor judgment that the political media can conjure up.
I see her as that breath of fresh air, and look at Senator Biden as about as much change as a new coat of paint, trying to cover the 30 years or of good ol' boy politics. But the Democrats had to come up with someone with some political experience on their ticket and he's the best that they could come up with? So much for all that change that will take place if Obama is elected.
I personally feel that Sarah was a excellent choice and is good for the country. Of course, you can find fault with any one and any candidate, no one is perfect and everyone has made mistakes. Public scrutiny is good as long as we learn the truth about the person so that we make prudent and informed choices.
I for one would never want to be scrutinized for a political office and to be put on the block to have every wacko, left and right, take a shot at my imperfect past. I'm sure that they would be able to show the public what a rotten person that I've been all my live and of course it must be the truth or they wouldn't say it right?
All that I'm saying is that the voters must see through all the smoke and mirrors and vote their hearts and good common sense. Please vote what's best for America and not the party. It's obvious the way I lean and I just want this country to change and be the power that it once was, and not the bully that it has become. But we must protect it at all costs.
Change cannot come over night. Look how long it has taken to get ourselves in this position. Strong leadership is the only answer and taxing everyone to death is not the answer. Don't be afraid to cross party lines. There are good people on both sides that need our support to get the job done.
Enough is enough of the political baloney that we have to listen to and have to pay for the privilege of doing so. Also in response to Mr. Goodman's letter (Tuesday, Sept 9) what part of illegal alien confuses you, you blame everyone and everything except the illegals that have "invaded" my country and chastise everyone who say any thing against them.
