SEBRING - Christian rock groups will perform free at Firemen's Field for the second year in a row.
Our Heart's Hero will headline, with local Lake Placid band, Caleb's Cadence, taking the stage at about 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 13.
The five-member, Our Hearts Hero, has released nine albums and is visiting from Nashville, Tenn.
Caleb's Cadence is also an eight-member worship team at First Baptist Church in Lake Placid.
Guitarist and singer Keith Campbell listed Casting Crowns as a musical influence while he classified his band's music as Christian Contemporary, with rock influences.
Caleb's Cadence warmed up the crowd last year at the inaugural event.
"We're really all about trying to lead worship and have fun while we're doing it," said Campbell. "It's not about crowd size, but being able to worship to the people there."
Caleb's Cadence formed more than four years ago, and Campbell said the team's mission is to glorify the life of Jesus, to make Jesus famous and to let people know why.
Along with church services, the worship team performs at church coffee houses and other outreach events.
Organizer Adam Martin hopes to exceed last year's attendance of 1,200, with the event becoming larger each year.
"It's something that young people in this area can go to," said Martin.
The non-denominational event will be held rain or shine and indoors at the Firemen's Field complex. For information, call 441-4992.
