WINTER HAVEN - The Sebring girls swim team had four first-place finishes and Megan Wolfe set a school record in the butterfly as the Blue Streak ladies swam to a first-place finish on Tuesday at a swim meet hosted by Lake Region High School.
"They did real well," said Sebring coach Pat Caton. "We had a lot of top finishes and those came from everybody."
Wolfe swam the butterfly in 1:00.96 to claim the Streaks' school record before helping three relay teams to top finishes.
Sebring took first place in the 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free. Beverley Owen added a second-place finish in diving with 134 points and Kate Bryan and Samantha Miller each had second-place finishes in the 100 back and 100 breast, respectively.
The Sebring boys took third out of the four-team field, paced by Bryan Kirsch's top finish in the 100 breast.
The Streaks also had second-place swims in the 200 medley, 500 free (Matthew Vickers), 200 free relay, breaststroke (Brian Miller) and 400 free relay.
"We had 13 kids we didn't take to the meet because they weren't ready," Caton said. "But they will be on Thursday."
The Streaks take to the same pool this afternoon, this time against four different Polk County schools.
They return home this weekend for the 10-team Blackman Invitational.
