Sprint Marathon Golf Fundraiser On Tap

Highlands County Habitat for Humanity and Highlands Community Church will hold a sprint marathon golf tournament at Sun 'N Lake golf course at 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 13.
The 36-hole event is a timed shotgun scramble that will sponsor a home through Habitat for Deborah McNeely and her two daughters Briteny and Brandy.

Golf Hammock Holding Ladies Golf Clinic

Golf Hammock Country Club will hold ladies golf clinics with professional Nell Hays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings until darkness prohibits.
Cost is $12, which includes discount card for weekend play. All levels are encouraged.

AP Youth Volleyball On Tap

The Avon Park Recreation Center is holding registration for youth volleyball for boys and girls ages six to 16.
Cost is $25, which includes T-shirt. Fundamentals will be stressed and beginners, intermediate and experienced players are welcome.

YMCA Offering Badminton

The Highlands County YMCA is offering badminton from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays for players ages 14 and up.

Sun 'N Lake To Hold Junior Golf Clinics

Sun 'N Lake country club will hold weekly junior golf clinics from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays.
Cost is $15, which includes instruction in all areas of the game, including etiquette, rules and basic fundamentals.
