Senator Obama

Published: October 24, 2008

It looks like the Democratic Party has nominated a socialist as their candidate for president of the United States.

Recently Sen. Obama has stated that it is time to "share the wealth." The last time I looked that is a socialist philosophy. If you are not sure find the nearest dictionary and look it up for yourself.

Sen. Obama promises a tax cut for 95 percent of households, even though only 62 percent of households pay any income tax now. Taxes would increase sharply for households making more than $250,000 a year, a policy that penalizes success. Profitable small businesses would be hardest hit. Obama even has the audacity to promise a tax break for businesses that create jobs, while simultaneously increasing taxes that would force some businesses to cut payrolls.

Remember Sen. Obama is a trained lawyer, author and an eloquent speaker. Do not become mesmerized by his words, but listen carefully to what he is actually saying. Everyone, workers or not all pay taxes from the time they get up in the morning until they go to bed or die. Americans pay taxes on electricity, property, telephones, gasoline, products we purchase, money that we earn and inherit profits we make, interest that our money earns and then there is a death tax when we die. Every American pays enough taxes and every American deserves a break and a tax cut.

If you want a change from the current policies, that puts country first, that will lead to energy independence, that will begin to overhaul the size of government in Washington, D.C., that will put a stop to the out of control spending in Washington, D.C., and that you can trust, vote for Sen. John McCain.

The future of this great country is in your hands.
