Students learn about real-life business concepts and careers through the Success Skills program offered by Junior Achievement to all seniors in Highlands County high schools. Middle school students learn about careers and how to balance a budget in the Economics for Success program. This year Junior Achievement has expanded our program to elementary school students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.
JA business volunteers teach the curriculum and serve as role models to help young people better understand economic concepts in order to become successful in the workplace and in life. These programs are made possible through contributions and events like the annual JA Bowl-A-Thon.
