Mary Malool's letter about Barack Obama gave no sensible or logical reasons why anyone should vote for him. The only qualifications for the presidency listed in the letter were Obama's strength, vitality and intelligence. Personally I can't see the strength, the vitality maybe, and as for intelligence, he reads a teleprompter while reading some other speechwriter's thoughts and words.
What weren't listed were Obama's connections with undesirable friends and his close association with ACORN, which is now under investigation for voter registration and fraud. Nothing is said about his inexperience serving only 147 working days in the Senate before announcing his bid for the presidency, and then voting "present" 20 times on issues. Evidently he can't seem to make a simple decision on a "yea or nay" vote. Do we need a person like that in the White House with his hand on the switch or to answer the 2 a.m. phone call?
The letter didn't list any of John McCain's 30 years of experience in the uniform of our country, Congress and Senate. There's more to Sarah Palin than folksy talk, good looks or fancy eyeglass frames as noted in the letter. It's already been determined that she has much more than 147 working days in government and politics. Her accomplishments for the citizens of Alaska far exceed anything Obama has done for Chicagoans or American citizens while in the Senate. The question is, does he qualify to be a U.S. Senator?
I would like to remind Malool that we do not and never did get any oil from Iraq and the reasoning that oil was the cause for the war is moot! The letter also says listen with your ears and listen with your heart when voting, I say think hard with your head and use your brains. Can anyone imagine having Obama in office with the do-nothing Democratic Congress we have in there now?
You closed with God bless America, I certainly agree with that but would like to add God help America if Obama is elected.
