Man Charged With Having Sex With An 11-Year-Old Girl

SEBRING - A local man was arrested Sunday after allegedly having sex with an 11-year-old.

Guadalupe Medina, 18, of 1512 Beverly Ave., is charged with one count of lewd or lascivious behavior stemming from the incident, which police said occurred around 1 a.m., Sunday.

The suspect came to the Sebring Police Department to offer a statement in reference to the sexual act. Medina told police he was home with the victim when she began kissing on him, and then said she wanted to have sex with him.

Medina said he then went into the bedroom to get away from her, but she followed him into the room, according to the arrest report. As the victim continued kissing on him, the two eventually began having sex, which lasted until she told Medina it was her first time, the suspect told authorities.

Immediately afterward, two other residents returned home and caught Medina and the victim in the bedroom together. One of the witnesses told police he saw Medina with his pants around his ankles and pulled them up rather quickly.

When the witness asked what happened, the victim said she and Medina had sex, according to the arrest report.

Sebring Police Department Officer Larry Carmody made the arrest.
