While preparing for my 90th birthday, I had a massive heart attack and ended up in Florida Hospital in Orlando. I have to tell you that I have never received such great care. To begin with, I have to thank our local newspapers, The Tampa Tribune, News-Sun and Lake Placid Journal for publishing my letters for the past 28 years.

I never knew I had so many good friends; they filled my hospital room with balloons, flowers, gifts, cards, and also sent me their best wishes, love and prayers.

My appreciation goes to Pastor Joe Dehart of Community Church of God who came to Orlando to pray for me. A special thank you to Libby Barner who is taking such good care of me at home, and thanks to Rhonda Grooming, who took good care of my little 17-year-old dog. I have so many to thank and I do not want to overlook any of you. I have faith that I will recover quickly and be back in town soon.
