Pertaining to the ditch cleaning dirt along the roads and highways of Highlands County. They used to give that dirt to the residents here in the area to fill in low spots in their yards, but now, because of someone's bright idea, they have the Road and Bridge Department drive 20-30 miles round trip to dump it in the landfill. Doesn't this practice fill up they landfill much quicker and cost the residents of Highlands County thousands of dollars more in fuel costs and man hours, trucking this dirt all the way out to the landfill? Whose brainless idea was it in the first place?
Common sense would save the residents of Highlands County thousands of dollars every year. Talk about the government wasting taxpayer's money, what do you call this?
