SEBRING - The monthly meeting of the Highlands County Homeowners Association on Monday morning will feature three guest speakers.
Kimberly D. Silva, an agent with the Federal Communication Commission's enforcement bureau, will speak on the conversion of all television stations to digital transmission on Feb. 17. She will provide details on the $40 coupons available to purchase digital-to-analog converter boxes.
Sherri Cooper, coordinator of Keep Highlands County Beautiful, and Jeff Mechlin, public affairs manager for Embarq, will announce details of the annual telephone book recycling program.
The homeowner's association meeting, open to the public, runs from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday in the Sebring Country Estates Club House, on Grand Prix Drive, just east of US 27. Coffee, tea and donuts are available free before the meeting.
The monthly meetings feature reports on public affairs, including the sheriff's office and school board, county commission meetings, code enforcement, and parks and recreation.
