Author To Hold Book Signing

SEBRING - Sunny Serafino will introduce her latest novel, "Second Chances," a sequel to her book, "Echoes," at a book signing from 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9 at Brewster's Coffee House, 1905 U.S. 27 N., in Sebring.

"Second Chances" is the continuing story of the Hoffman family and is a tale about old friends, new loves and a deep-seated trust that holds family together. It is the ninth novel published by Serafino.

Toastmasters To Meet At Sebring Chamber

SEBRING - Toastmasters International has started a new club in Sebring.

Meetings will take place on the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Sebring Chamber Welcome Center, at the corner of Flare Road and U.S. 27. Meetings start at 6 p.m.

Dues are $60.

Outback USA To Open New Store

SEBRING - The grand opening of the new store/marina at Outback USA, 14021 U.S. 27. S., will begin at 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8.

There will be specials and giveaways.
Raffle tickets will be sold for a Gheenoe canoe, with the proceeds going to Sebring High School.

There will be some fishing pros there as well as representatives of boat and motor manufacturers.
Garage Sale To Benefit Church Project

SEBRING - A garage sale will be held from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. today and Saturday, Nov.8 at the Church of the Brethren, located at 700 S. Pine St. in Sebring, in Blough Hall.

The funds will go toward the renewing and rebuilding of the church. Selected food and drink may be purchased for a nominal fee.
Blough Hall is located on the side of the church on Oak Street.

Tanglewood Garage Sale Scheduled

SEBRING - The annual Fall Tanglewood Garage Sale will start 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 in the main hall. There will be over 100 family tables of items. Coffee and doughnuts will be available.

Tanglewood is located a half-mile north of Wal-Mart on U.S. 27.

Clown Alley Yard Sale To Benefit Expansion

LAKE PLACID - Toby's Clown Alley will be having a yard sale from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Clown House, DeVane Park, Lake Placid.

Toby's Clowns are gathering donations for the yard sale. You can take donated items on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday from noon until 5 p.m. to the Clown House.

All donations will go to the new library and museum addition that is scheduled to start soon.

Church Holding Second Time Around Sale

AVON PARK - The Church of the Redeemer is having a Second Time Around Sale from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the church, next to Raceway Gas Station, across from Wells car dealership in Avon Park.

There will be 50-50 and 30-20 drawings, a money tree and more drawings at 1 p.m. Refreshments will be available.

Volunteers Needed At Sebring Library

SEBRING - The Sebring Public Library is in need of volunteers with two to four hours to spare, to help with shelving items, assisting patrons search for materials, repairing items and various other endeavors.

Winter visitors are welcome, and training is provided.
