Publix advertised a Hibachi grill in the store circular. Stella at the courtesy counter took my name and phone number, and promised to call when the grills came in. I phoned the store late afternoon. Dave volunteered to call around to other stores to locate a grill for me.
On Thursday, I stopped at Publix to inquire about the grill. Dave Abner said he had a grill for me, and he brought a grill out for me in a box.
Everyone knows what the phrase "some assembly necessary" means. Dave picked up on my hesitation and volunteered to assemble the grill for me.
There are many considerate employees working at Publix Supermarket in South Gate. Dave Abner is an exceptional person. He performed a service, not in his job description. That meant so much to me.
Again, thank you Dave. Your kindness was immensely appreciated.
