Woman Charged With Cocaine Possession

AVON PARK — An Avon Park woman was free on $2,000 bail Tuesday on illegal drug possession charges.
Jo Ann Skipper-Hancock, 47, of 2180 U.S. 27 N., Lot No. 4, Avon Park, was charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Sheriff's investigators went to Skipper-Hancock's apartment after receiving information that the occupants were using illegal drugs.
They were met by a man who told deputies that Skipper-Hancock and another female were inside. Deputies reported they told Skipper-Hancock why they were there and were given permission to search.
Inside, deputies reported finding three metal tubes with burnt ends with electrical tape wrapped around them and a glass pipe. One or more of the pipes tested positive for cocaine.
The male and other female were not arrested, the report indicated.
