Fair And Balanced? Not Even Close

Published: May 7, 2008

At first I did not think Fox News was racial, until Barak Obama started beating Hillary Clinton in the primary elections. But I certainly do now.

I have no problem with the election as a Republican. I will vote for John McCain. My interest in the Democratic election is who will be the winner that McCain will have as a Democratic opponent in the fall election.

Here are my comments why I consider Fox News is very racial in itscoverage of the democratic primary.

1. When they made a comment about the pastor of Obama's church dealing with his comments, Fox news doesn't say that Obama's pastor is against abortions and homosexuality.

With abortions, why doesn't Fox news give this credit to Obama's pastor, using the Bible to say that homosexuality is a sin?

Why should Obama's pastor not be concerned about having homosexuality being taught in our schools to African-American children? Are we not concerned about it being taught to our white students, Spanish students and any other race of children and having absolutely no say in the matter? It seems Obama's pastor is not afraid to speak out in his sermons about these things.

If any church preaches against abortion, they can lose their IRS status and have to pay taxes. Is it the same with preaching against homosexuals? In other words, that means our government dictates what we are allowed and not allowed to preach in churches, by using money as a system to keep us from preaching God's Word.

Where in our constitution does this say that?

Why has prayer been taken our of schools? Now I've heard that God has been taken off of the new silver dollar. Who made the decision? Not the voters, yet, our constitution claims that the government should not.

No wonder people want to hear the complete sermon of Obama's pastor if the good things outweigh the bad things.

Does Fox News only take those things that they want you to hear, and that is all, just the racial things? Would not any African-American preacher want to be concerned for his own people?

It seems the only people who are allowed freedom of speech is Fox News.

2. Hillary Clinton in l995 made mention of the Bible and the gun in small communities. I heard it once on Fox News and if I weren't listening at that time I would have missed it, as I watched all day to hear them say it again, and it was only that once.

This would have been important in the Pennsylvania election that Hillary had the same thinking as Obama about guns and the Bible in small towns. Instead, Fox News kept repeating Obama's message in San Francisco, until it became clear to me that Fox News is very racial, and they kept repeating it after the election, claiming Hillary won because of Obama's complaint of small towns, guns, the Bible and bitterness.

3. I listened to Hillary's speech with all the screaming and yelling of them who voted for her saying about everything she is going to give them. Not a thought came from the crowd of blue collar workers that they will be the ones who will pay the taxes for those programs.

The senior citizens who cheered her on and voted for her are the ones who are collecting their IRAs and other investments that help with their income in the later years. They should go back and see what interest they paid on their IRAs and other investments before the president's tax cut, which is now 10 percent, and was 30 percent a year ago.

Go ahead and vote for Hillary, you blue collar workers and senior citizens. You are going to find out after she is elected that the Democrats in Congress agree with her higher taxes. Hillary's programs taxing the rich is not enough to pay for the programs she, (Hillary) promises you in this election.
On their income tax returns, Obama and McCain gave money to charities. Hillary and Bill Clinton gave a huge amount to charity also, but the charity was the Bill Clinton's President Library! Now, did that help any people in need?

This was on Fox News — just the once.

I am going to keep watching Fox News. Why don't you to see if you think Fox News is fair and balanced, as they aren't in my book.
