Every politician is a person who can tell you what you want to hear and then do as he pleases when he gets into office. This has been going on since time began, and unless a miracle happens it's going to be the same in this election.
Sen. Barack Obama says he's for change and has a lot of very young people that will tell you that this is the truth. However, I don't take much stock in 18-20-year-olds who haven't been out of high school long enough to start supporting themselves, let alone think that they have the abilities to run this country.
Obama's only experience is in the state Senate and nowhere else that I can see, and it's obvious that the majority of black Americans support him because he is black. The highest percentage of black voters in history have turned out so there is, in my opinion, a race issue here, whether we like it or not.
Then there is McCain. Very experienced in wars and very little in the economy, and we have big problems with both. Neither will give a straight answer about what they will do about illegal immigration and both dance around this major problem.
I personally feel that the United States is still the greatest country in the world, but is being victimized by the politicians and the lobbyists, and the oil companies as well, as well as the oil rich countries that we have to deal with because of our inability to develop alternative energy. It appears that we have been duped into the ethanol scam and now all that is coming to light after millions being squandered in pursuit of lower fuel prices.
I personally don't care if the person as president is a Republican or Democrat, black, white, green or yellow and feel that if a person votes party lines just because of preference of party, they are a fool, and doesn't have any right to gripe about the outcome.
It's time that the Americans take back America, to ease job shortages, ship the illegals back to where they came from, which would in itself open more jobs. They say it can't be done? Well it already has been done in 1953.
It seems that everything is going wrong in this country and it has to stop before it's too late. Vote your heart and common sense. It's down to the lesser of two evils and it scares me to think that these are the best candidates we could come up with out of all the millions of people in America.
