How do you spell political leadership, prosperous economy, and national security? Two words spell all of the above, energy independence.
Yes, we should continue to dabble in alternative energy sources, but only dabble.
The president can sign laws or veto them, but only Congress can make laws. If Congress were to just take the brakes off all drilling and refinery restrictions, we would be energy independent within two years.
Among the numerous questions posed to various politicians, there are two which must be directed to all politicians: What is your energy independence plan? How do you expect to correct the subtle, and not so subtle, price fixing by the United States petroleum empires?
