Have you tried the new restaurant in town, Salsa's Tex-Mex? The building used to house an old thrift shop; boy have Belia Polanco, her granddaughter, and niece put their work and sweat into that building to get it to what it looks like today.
The inside decor is done in a way that it looks Mexican and has a relaxing way about it. I do not know Belia's granddaughter's name as she owns the restaurant. But, I do know she has put her heart and soul into making Salsa's a restaurant you will want to call "your place."
The restaurant is nice and clean plus the wait staff , which is a family, act like they are glad you are there, and go out of their way to answer your questions, and to make sure you are happy with your order.
Now for the food. Belia does the cooking. Some of you may know her as she had a restaurant in Lake Placid for a number of years.
What a cook the lady is. All I can say if you like Tex-Mex, give Salsa's a try. It is real close to Highlands Hospital and more or less across from the diner. Hope to see you there.
