It's that time once more, to brag on all the hard workers at the Highlands Little Theatre. I have to admit the title of the play for this time left me cold, "Seussical the Musical." I sure wasn't looking forward to it as I had others, but I knew the meal would be good. The meal was top-notch, plus our table mates were fun-type people.
Then the play got under way and all the actors and actresses just out did themselves. Austin Westergom, who played a lead part next to his mom, Jennifer, was superb. I think most of can relate to how working with our mom on something as important as a lead in a play could lead to fingernail-biting time. Austin seemed as relaxed as if he were playing a game of checkers.
There were a number of younger cast members for this play and each of them did an outstanding job. Then there was set design and lighting. Enough can't be said as to the professionalism for the Highlands Little Theatre. If you can afford this type of entertainment and stay at home, you are cheating yourself.
Just remember, if you think there is nothing to do in Sebring and you keep doing what you have always done, then you will get what you have always got, bored.
