I would like to express my gratitue to the many motorcyclists and others who participated in the 8th annual Lake Placid Food And Toy Run.

This toy run has continued to grow each year with the support of the biker community. The bikers in Highlands County are always ready to support a good cause and pull together to make it successful. I thank each club, group and organization that pitched in and made this run possible.

Many bikers traveled many miles to be a part of this run. This year was the largest turnout since the first year we began.Many children were helped.This says a lot about the spirit we have here in Highlands County.

I would like to thank the following people: First Christian Church of Avon Park, Dennis Kellner and Warren's Auto Sales, The Highlands County Sherriff's Office, Avon Park,

Sebring and Lake Placid police departments, River Greens Golf Course, Bishop Major Callahan, Pastor Paul Wilson, Mike and Linda Young and Turning Point Baptist Church of Mullberry.

To all those special people I did not name, A big "thank you" to you for making this event happen. See you in December 2008 for the 9th Annual Lake Placid Food And Toy Run.
