Excellent Book Feature

This is a follow up to a recent column about Maj. Thomas McGuire.
Because Maj. McGuire was born in Highlands County and grew up here, I would recommend that perhaps an excerpt from the book titled "The Last Great Ace" by Charles Martin be printed in the Highlands Today newspaper. This book is one of the best books I have ever read and it was made even more interesting by the many stories told about Maj. McGuire growing up in Sebring. I think the people from this area will miss out if they do not read this outstanding book about a true hero that earned the Congressional Medal of Honor.
