As I write this, it seems Mitt Romney is under attack by his competitors for the GOP nomination who are trying to help themselves by hurting him. In fact, as to some it puts me in mind of those animals who eat their young.
Nevertheless, among all of our other problems, the condition of the economy appears to be deteriorating. I believe that Romney could handle all of the problems which will face our next president, but if any area stands out it is the area of business and the economy. He did wonders in the private sector rescuing businesses in difficulty. He turned the Olympic mess around, cleaning up alleged corruption and ending up with a clean Olympics that made millions in profit. He took the state government in Massachusetts, which was in a mess, and turned it around.
On the basis of promises it would be hard to compete with others. But of the basis of accomplishment, Romney is the best. We need him to start the cleanup of the mess in Washington.
