AVON PARK — Sheriff's deputies continued to search for answers Tuesday in the shooting death of a Sebring man near the intersection of Garrett Road and Alabama Road in Lacey Hills on Monday.

Detectives with Highlands County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division combed the Lacey Hills neighborhood trying to locate witnesses to the shooting.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Donald Alfonso Henry, 36, of last known address: 606 Denise Ave., Sebring, in connection with the fatal shooting.

The sheriff's office released the name of the victim Tuesday as Hugh Andrew Marks, 31, of Sebring.

Deputies reportedly arrived on scene at about 10:41 a.m. Monday, after receiving 911 calls reporting the shooting.

When the Highlands County Emergency Medical Services personnel got there, they determined that Marks was already dead.

The sheriff's office reported it is working closely with the District 10 Medical Examiner's Office to determine the exact cause of death.

Sheriff's Lt. Tim Lethbridge said Monday that the investigation into Marks' death is a top priority.
