Recently the Kindergarten Learning Center held its first Transportation Day. The students and staff were amazed by the generosity of local businesses that sacrificed their valuable time explaining their equipment and jobs.
Using our parking lot and bus loop to display their trucks, cranes, boats and horses, the following people spent the better part of the morning with us: Mark Warren from Truly Nolen, Marty Hegwood and Chris Yeamans from South Florida Community College, Dave Meier from Annett Bus Lines, Sean McManus from Progress Energy, Lloyd Hart from L.A. Hart Equipment, Joe Bueche from the United States Postal Service, Kenny Long, Eric Flippin, and Sam McGrath from Long's Air Conditioning, Jennifer Carnahan from Heartland Horses and Handicapped, Alan Underwood from Lake Placid Marine, Brad Thompson, Dustin Fitch and James Morgan from Highlands County Emergency Medical Services, Bobby Border from the Sebring Fire Department, Joe DeBree III from the Division of Forestry, Fred Nugent from the School Board of Highlands County Transportation Department, and Deputy Brian Giguere from the Highlands County Sheriff's DARE department.
On behalf of the staff and students of the Kindergarten Learning Center, we would like to thank you for taking the time to reach out to everyone on our campus. It is truly a blessing to have such generous businesses donate their time to the students of Highlands County.
