It is beyond my comprehension that members of Congress, ostensibly elected by the people to "do the people's business" appear to have little to do but conduct probes into whether certain baseball players did or did not lie about past drug usage.
We know beyond a shadow of doubt that this administration plunged our nation into the invasion of Iraq, the consequences of which we may never fully recover from, through a deliberate and continuing web of lies, half truths and misinformation. Why, then, are congressional efforts and outrage directed at inconsequential past actions of participants in a recreational business, directly affecting few of us, rather than the heinous actions of this administration that affects us all.
It would appear that either the priorities of our legislators are seriously misdirected or this is merely one more attempt to disguise their incompetence.
