SEBRING — Two new candidates were overwhelmingly chosen to serve as new supervisors on the five-member board at Sun' N Lake Improvement District of Sebring.
Longtime supervisor John W. Clark was trounced by challenger Dave Halbig by a 508-46 vote.
Diana R. Johnson and Halbig both won by large margins in the election by popular vote, which was open to SNL residents who are locally registered Highlands County voters.
The new supervisors will serve four-year terms, and will be sworn in Friday at 9 a.m.
at the Sun 'N Lake Community Center
Johnson held off challenger Richard K. Hulbert for Seat No. 4 by a 486-68 vote margin.
The results are unofficial until certified by the Highlands County Canvassing Board.
Standing landowner seat holders are: president George Puffenberger; vice president Bob Severino; and supervisor Frank Gugliemi.
