Canale To Oppose Jackson

SEBRING — Jeri Canale, a county commissioner a decade ago, has filed for election to District 3. She will oppose incumbent Andrew Jackson and Sebring City Council man Jeff Carlson.
"It's not personal. I like Andy Jackson, I just think I can do a better job," Canale said. "And I'm not going to stay there for years. I'm not a lifelong politician."
If elected, Canale said she would vote for lower taxes, and she doesn't like the impact fees which the commissioners instituted in 2007, and raised in 2008.
