Discussing Evolution, ID Is Impossible

Published: February 7, 2008

Whether to teach science of evolution or the conjecture of creationism in schools seems to be uppermost in the minds of our school administrators. Both theories have their good points and bad points. Both require some bit of imagination and faith. The findings of fact and development of theories have brought science and religion to very conflicting points of view.

The teaching of creationism requires the use of the Bible and a belief in God, and that the Bible is the only truth as far as hard-line religious leaders are concerned. Evolutionists are still in the process of finding links that bring us to a point that man was introduced into the world as Adam and then Eve.

The main problem, as I see it, is that the two ideas differ from 6,000 years ago and 6.5 million years ago, and on the other plane; from when God created man 6,000 or so years ago or did He have a hand in the big-bang theory of 4.5 billion years ago and then evolution took over?

Impossible To Comprehend

Man does not have the capacity, no matter how smart he is, to come close to being able to consider just how big the universe is and/or how long eternity is and in seeing or believing that there was no beginning just as we cannot think of never having an end to eternity.

Humans have time spans like weeks, months, years and so on. We are mostly regulated by time and can only think of things in a framework of time, space, and distances. We cannot even figure out, if a car is going at the speed of light and turns on the headlights why the lights do not go twice the speed of light.

God is, was, and has forever been; He has no timetable and there is no space that he is concerned with. However, scientists believe they have found the big bang when a "tiny' speck exploded into our universe and started all things going such as time, space, matter, gravity, and life.

Infinity And Eternity

In a universe that they have yet to find the outer limits of, just how big or small can they say was the size of that speck? And where there is no such a thing as time and distance, how long it took God to do what was done.

Even the speed of light as calculated here on Earth by our great scientists has no meaning where there is no time to measure it by.

God did not create man based upon how long a day was on Earth or how long a year is here on Earth. He created man on His own time which is immeasurable and He had an eternity to do it in.
Most of us believe that when we die we enter into eternity with an eternal life either with Him or not.
Hopefully, our spirit will then see that He has the power and time to do whatever He wants, create whatever He wants, do it in a manner that pleases Him, and we will have forever to watch Him do it.

Present It, Don't Teach It

Presenting both theories in school can give our children something to think about and ponder as they grow older and even then there still will be a mystery of how it all began and how it will likely never end.
