Our biggest impediment to the free market is the government. They either over control or overlook responsibilities established by themselves. Their inefficient means of conducting business is sending us citizens into debt slavery while they bale out their Bubbas and leave us for shark bait.
Recently there was discussion about Gov. Sarah Palin's limited experience. The less experience in my mind means more productivity and honest people telling the lifer politicians that we no longer conduct business in that unfair or often illegal manner.
Until the government undergoes restructuring and downsizing, we are doomed. No government has survived historically and mine is failing miserably. Term limits must be shortened to eliminate the business as usual mentality. Change in command ensures standards are being maintained and provides a systematic check and balance.
The temporary foreclosure moratorium will end soon unless further action is taken. Following the holidays, the news will emphasize the huge loss in Christmas sales followed by many more retail businesses closing their doors, increased foreclosures, bankruptcies and much higher unemployment.
Optimism during these times is difficult at best. We Americans are being held accountable to the highest degree while our government runs awry. It is not patriotism I lack, it is direction. We are about to observe a catastrophic economic failure. Grow gardens and buy bullets, lots of them.
