SARASOTA - Sophomore Amanda Grimaldo scored two goals and the Sebring defense played with a sense of urgency to earn a 3-0 shutout victory over Sarasota Booker in a Class 4A-District 10 match on Thursday.

"Our defense really played well and I think, as a team, we played more organized than we have lately," Sebring head coach Steve Ashley said. "We moved the ball around well and our passes were crisp. It was nice to pick up a district win tonight."

Lisa Pryzchocki added a goal at the 55 minute mark for the Streaks.

Sebring was set to play archrival Avon Park on Friday night. See Sunday's Highlands Today for complete game coverage.

The Streaks travel to face Clewiston on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
