I would like to take this opportunity to thank Whisper Lake Community and The First Assembly of God Church on Kenilworth Drive, Sebring, for their generous donations and good wishes for the Sebring Good Shepherd Hospice, a few local nursing homes and for 100 children sick in Charlotte, N.C., and some of their families who are staying in one of the Ronald McDonald houses.
This year I was able to make 200 mugs filled with personal items like toothbrushes, shaving creams and disposable razors, perfumes, lotions, combs, soaps, plus more. I distributed way too many to count, crochet and knitted lap blankets, knit caps, shawls and even slippers of all sizes. In addition to the usual, I asked for candy canes and teddy bears and you came through. I was able to send the children in North Carolina a teddy bear and candy canes each!
In these trying times I find your hearts are still open and ready to always help with the needy. Thank you again for the wonderful donations.
