Route Changes For Sebring Christmas Parade
SEBRING - The Sebring Christmas Parade will follow a different route this year.

It will begin tonight at 7 at North Ridgewood Drive and Sebring Parkway. The route will go past the Sebring Police Station and into the Sebring Circle. The parade will turn right onto South Commerce and end at Commerce and McClain Lane.

The Skylarks To Play At Highlands Social Dance Club
SEBRING - The Highlands Social Dance Club welcomes back northern dancing members and non-members and is hosting ballroom dancing every Friday from 7 - 9:30 p.m. at the Sebring Lions Club on Sebring Parkway.

The music will be provided tonight by the Skylarks.

Walt and Sue will resume dance instruction at 6:30 pm.

All club dances are open to the public. Appropriate dress required.

Admission is $4 for members and $6 for non-members.

SIR Hosting Historic Fall Classic Race

SEBRING - The 5th annual Historic Fall Classic Race will be held today through Dec. 7 at the Sebring International Raceway.

Art League To Hold First Friday

SEBRING - First Friday - Sunset at The Village, presented by Highlands Art League, will be held today.

This month the Yellow House Gallery will showcase the Members Annual Exhibit from 5 to 8 p.m. Artwork is available for viewing as well as purchase.
First Fridays are open to the public, with no admission charge and plenty of complimentary parking. Hors d'oeuvres and a variety of wines are served. All are invited to browse the Yellow House Gallery of specialty items for giving during the holiday season.

Sebring Carousel Of Lights On Display

SEBRING - Carousel of Lights will open from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 6 on the Circle in downtown Sebring.

This year's display of lights will be bigger and brighter due to a new 12,000 amp electric system thanks to the Sebring Community Redevelopment Agency. There are dozens of new lighted displays this year including hot air balloons, a 42-foot long friendly worm, giraffes, snails, turtles, dragons and a Sebring race car display.

2008 Air Show Slated In LP

LAKE PLACID - Lake Placid and Avon Park Aeromodelers radio control model airplane flying clubs will hold an air show with R/C model airplanes at 9 a.m. Dec. 6. During the air show there will be remote control flying of aerobatics with planes and helicopters, flying demonstrations of many types of aircraft, hands on flying instructions, candy dropping from the sky, static model airplane displays and presentations on how radio control airplanes work.

Club members will be available to answer any questions during the event. There will also be free door prizes.

The field is located on Placid Lakes Boulevard one mile north of State Road 70. Parking and show is free. Food and drinks will be available.

Dance Set At Sebring Village

SEBRING - Sebring Village is hosting a dance from 7:30 -10:30 p.m. in the clubhouse Dec. 6. It is located one mile behind the Sebring Wal-Mart off Schumacher Road.

The cost is $3.50 for members and $5 for nonmembers.

Doin' It Right will provide the music.

Sebring Mobile Estates Serving Breakfast

SEBRING - Sebring Mobile Estates, located off Kenilworth Boulevard, will serve breakfast from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Dec. 6.

The menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage patties and links, sausage gravy and biscuits, orange juice and coffee for a donation of $4.

Christmas Bazaar At Crystal Lake

AVON PARK - The Crystal Lake Club Homeowners Association will host an old-fashioned Christmas Bazaar from 8 - 11 a.m. Dec. 6. at 850 Memorial Drive.

There will be handcrafted items, baked goods, handmade cards and food to go.

LAKE PLACID - Lake Placid Memorial Library will be showing "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" at 2 p.m. Dec. 6.

There is no admission charge.

SEBRING - Post 4300 Veterans of Foreign Wars will commemorate Pearl Harbor Day at 11 a.m. Dec. 7 at the Post Home, 1041 Lakeview Drive, in Sebring.
